One of the things that I enjoy most about living next to mountains is the way the clouds sometimes lift to reveal tantalising glimpse of peak. I guess it's equivalent to Victorian men enjoying the odd flash of female ankle ! Often in the winter when the clouds are low there will be a sudden break in the clouds and a ridgeline reveals itself, seconds later it's gone again. It's hard to tell where and when it's going to happen, but always thrilling when it does. After painting a series of more intricate works I enjoyed this semi abstract painting- I hope that you do as well.
